在臺灣民間信仰中,媽祖廟可以說是最具代表性的地方廟宇之一。近年來,臺灣隨著政府提倡文化創意產業,全臺各地也跟著一股文創熱潮,透過創意與設計,將產品賦予內涵,有許多宗教團體與廟宇團體開始導向品牌化與商業化的發展,並透過有計畫性的規劃,逐漸轉變為觀光化、品牌化及商品化;本研究為在地高雄人,因此選擇高雄最具代表性的媽祖廟之一,「岡山壽天宮」為本次創作對象。本研究以岡山壽天宮中媽祖信仰為主要對象,以產品語意學作為理論基礎及文本分析法,並結合文化創意產業概念,蒐集我國最具代表性的三間媽祖廟,北港朝天宮、大甲鎮瀾宮、鹿港天后宮之文創商品,逐一分析探討,並分析各間廟宇相關商品的SWOT分析。作品發想過程中

,萃取岡山壽天宮廟中之元素,轉化為祈福、平安、傳承、保佑等意涵,並發展出三大類別:公仔創作、聖母事蹟月曆、其他商品之元素應用等商品,共五組作品。創作結果:(1)利用隱喻式設計,在創作過程中賦予文創商品多樣化及趣味性。(2)利用直喻的神像元素,進行轉換與創作,並設計成日常用品,讓商品貼近消費者的生活,能有效傳達廟宇信仰的基本價值。(3)擷取具有文化意涵與內容之元素,增加消費者使用商品之興趣,並設計成日常用品及可收藏之價值商品,傳承廟宇信仰之內容與意涵。
