im at exploring the spirit of place of Kaohsiung Harbor Pier-2 Art Center on the scales of time and space. We collected, classified, and summarized fragmentary elements left in the surrounding industries of Kaohsiung Harbor or the development of local culture by the spatial pattern of synchronicity
and diachronicity from the past, the present, and the future, and have reorganized and re-created a new life for the warehouse space on the shore of the port. C5 TSC Warehouse has been selected as the base of re-creating object. The location of this base design is located in exit of the Kaohsiung A
ihe River in Pier-2 Art Center Warehouses. It mainly proposes to explore the diachronic historical changes of Kaohsiung Harbor and synchronic image of Kaohsiung Harbor City view, and find out the future design factors. According to the current status of Pier-2 Art Center, it considers the essence of
Kaohsiung Harbor Warehouse space creation and proposes reconsideration.Research before the creation is exploring synchronic factors in the literatures of time historical evolution. We re-explored the qualities of landscapes, architectures, and environments, combined with historical and humanistic f
actors, and propose the concept of the creation. By using interventional method, we find back the interaction between people and the water region, simultaneously draw the harbor spatial relationship closer. We hope to create a lively and interesting experience space for local residents, community in
formation and artistic exchanges. At the same time, make use of the development of local culture and innovative industries to propose a creative space shared by community residents and visitors. Live up and display the unique coastal space image of Kaohsiung Harbor.
