本論文提出新的行車安全監控系統並完成硬體晶片設計及實車驗證，此系統由『紅外線駕駛頭部偏移偵測子系統』與『車道偏移偵測子系統』所組成。『紅外線駕駛頭部偏移偵測子系統』用以監控車內駕駛頭部的偏移狀況，設計紅外線 (IR) LED裝置於駕駛頭枕上，IR接收器裝置於駕駛前上方車頂，用以接收IR LED所發射出之紅外線脈波訊號，由駕駛頭部偏移偵測演算法分析接收訊號中IR LED的位置以及數量的改變，判斷駕駛頭部是否發生不正常偏移。將子系統實現並實車驗證，結果顯示本子系統具有如下特點： (1)能正確偵測駕駛頭部不正常偏移；(2)能辨識駕駛看後視鏡為正常行為；(3)系統成本低；(4)對於車外光線變化具強健

性；(5)紅外光不會進入眼睛而造成傷害，也不會對車內及對向來車造成視覺的干擾；(6)不受駕駛戴墨鏡的影響。『車道偏移偵測子系統』用以監控行車過程中車道線變動狀況，利用CMOS感測器擷取車行方向之畫面，由車道偏移偵測演算法分析擷取之畫面，分割左右側兩注意區域的車道線，然後利用霍夫轉換計算出兩車道線的角度與距離並進行錯誤偵測與補償，最後根據四個檢核條件即可正確判斷車輛是否發生不正常偏移。實驗模擬結果顯示本子系統能成功處理六類天候狀況：(1)早晨有護欄影子；(2)下午逆光；(3)隧道內；(4)夜間；(5)小雨；(6)大雨。為了實現此子系統即時處理的目的，本研究完成了適用於上述六類天候狀況下的車道偏移

偵測子系統硬體設計，並採用 Altera Cyclone® IV EP4CE115 FPGA完成晶片實現及實車測試。本設計在 10846 個邏輯單元 (LEs)及 442336 個記憶單元之FPGA硬體面積成本下，可達到每秒處理 64 張 480 × 640尺寸影像的處理速度。
