There's a strange phenomenon that I've noticed here in China ever since I got here 11 years ago, people can simply walk into any book store or department store, grab a book that's for sale off of the bookshelf, sit on the floor (or wherever they can find a spot) and read the entire book! Families even make it a weekend outing sometimes and I often see grandparents taking the grandchildren out to hang out in the air-conditioned department stores and book stores to escape the summer heat, chill out, read books and it's all for free! Come and take a glimpse at what I'm talking about.
