經衛生福利部統計,台灣成年人罹患牙周病的盛行率達到80.48%,且更有47%患者有嚴重的牙周病問題,因中重度牙周病所造成的牙周囊袋,使用牙刷也難以完整清潔,且若一直不清除牙周囊袋內的細菌,會使牙周病更加惡化,進而導致牙齒鬆動、咀嚼無力等問題發生,嚴重者則導致牙齒脫落等不可逆之狀況發生,故本研究開發一可攜式低流量牙周囊袋清潔消毒裝置,配合藥劑慢速清洗牙周囊袋,可望達到殺菌清潔之成果。在外型設計上,以市面上之高速沖牙機和手動按壓式洗牙機為參考,陸續設計出三種版本之原型機,並透過ANSYS模擬分析沖牙機中關鍵零部件的應力和應變等狀況,搭配DFMA及DMAIC法加以優化設計;藉由光固化成形機及FDM

3D列印機製作部分零件,在搭配組合市售之微型幫浦、充電版、充電電池和矽膠軟管等零件作連接,實際製作出原型機,最後並與牙醫診所合作測試,透過實際操作與使用測試問題反饋,再加以改良設計出最終可試量產之第三版原型機,出水量可控制於20~25ml此區間,符合所設定之出水量要求,重量也從第一版的空機淨重256g改良至第三版的空機淨重91g,總長度則從300mm改良至190mm,達到可攜帶之功能,患者在家即可使用此裝置,達到清潔牙周囊袋之用途,對於協助治療牙周病有更多的幫助。
