本研究旨在英語流行歌曲教學對提升國小六年級學生學習動機及單字習得之效益。研究設計是以台北市某國小二十位六年級學生為研究對象，透過八週的英語流行歌曲教學，教學前、後分別給學生施以動機問卷及單字前後測，以了解學生的學習動機及單字學習上是否能藉由英語流行歌曲教學而提升。本研究採用量的研究方法，並輔以學習回饋問卷及訪談等質性的分析資料。根據資料分析結果，本研究之主要發現如下﹕一、 英語流行歌曲教學有助於提升學生的英語學習動機。二、 英語流行歌曲教學有助於提升學生之單字習得效能。三、 實施英語流行歌曲教學後，大部分的學生在情意、認知方面及行為發展上，都抱持正向態度，並更願意主動從事英語相關的學習

活動。根據研究結果及發現，鼓勵國小英語教師運用英語流行歌曲為教材，讓學生在愉快的情境中學習，並進一步提升習習動機及單字習得成就。除此之外，也希望本研究能作為未來研究的相關資訊及參考。
